South End Housing Site Work Advances

The Albany County Land Bank and its partners are advancing the development of more than 160 units of new, affordable housing in the historic South End of the City of Albany. After years of planning, design, and permitting, the progress is visible with site work happening and new building foundations being formed. Site fencing started during the winter and with spring conditions upon us, foundations are starting to take shape on many sites.

To keep the community informed, the Land Bank has updated its project page to include a photo gallery that shows the project as it advances along. That gallery will be updated periodically as conditions allow so that our progress is well documented.

This project is a partnership that includes the Land Bank, Novus Living, and MDG Design + Constriction. Other partners include the County of Albany, Habitat for Humanity, NYS Homes and Community Renewal, the City of Albany, Pike Construction, and Passero Associates.
